The Busy Quiet Weekend

Int:
That same damned kitchen….  you know the one.

So this weekend Julien was gone, and “The Mike™” was gone as well, so the decision was made to make this a post production and editing heavy weekend.  I know I have a lot of these coming up, but I really wanted to try and get the Fall rough cut done, and some odds and ends stuff filmed.

After sitting down with the rest of the crew and discussing how we plan on marketing the film, and going through some stuff that is impossible to actually make sound interesting, we did some test shooting for the title sequences.   In the rough cuts there are some title sequences that were originally animated, but wanting to stick the the visceral and practical look of the rest of the film, we decided to try some practical stuff.  And while we didn’t actually get the finished version for the film, we definitely know exactly how we’re setting up up, and what techniques we’re going to be using for and what our lighting set ups will be.

The rough cut of Fall is almost completely finished, and looking pretty damned sweet.  So much so, that I started cutting together some winter footage to boot.  Some ideas for pick up shots were kicked around and a list of what’s left was made.    There’s not much.

So we go back into full swing this coming weekend, and have scheduled to shoot both days.  One in Hannibal and one in Vandalia.  I look forward to the long drives coming to an end.

Don’t forget to check out the Teaser trailer.  As we get closer to final cuts on everything we’ll be putting together the full length trailer, so keep an eye out for that!

That’s all for the moment.  Stay tuned.  More to come…
